Privacy policy

1. Information we collect

• Account information: email address, first and last name, display name, date of birth, Nigerian phone number and verification status. Our authentication service processes your password and sign-in credentials; passwords are not displayed to other users.
• Social sign-in information: when you choose Apple or Google sign-in, we receive the account identifier and information that provider supplies, such as your email address and name. Apple may supply a private relay email address. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.
• Football and reward activity: favourite league and club, followed teams, predictions, scores, rankings, Token balances and transactions, reward-task completion and referral activity. Tokens are earned through rewards, such as completing sponsor tasks or watching sponsor videos.
• Communications: messages sent to support, live support or the AI assistant, support-ticket details, and match-chat messages and reactions. If you email us, we also receive the information and attachments you include.
• Usage and sponsor engagement: a browser-generated visitor identifier, pages visited, visit times and duration, page-view counts, sign-in and sign-up activity, and sponsor-banner impressions and clicks. Activity can be associated with your account when you are signed in.
• Security and diagnostic information: device fingerprints derived from browser and device characteristics, browser/user-agent information, error reports and security records. Network requests expose connection information to hosting providers; some verification and abuse-prevention processes use hashed IP addresses.

We collect information you submit, information generated as you use Fanddict, and information supplied by your chosen sign-in provider. Avoid including passwords, verification codes, payment details or other sensitive information in messages.

2. How we use information

• Create and authenticate accounts, verify phone numbers and apply the minimum-age requirement.
• Save predictions, calculate points and rankings, manage Tokens and rewards, and show your club preferences.
• Send account-verification, security, prediction, results and support communications.
• Answer questions, manage support requests and moderate community interactions.
• Measure visits and sponsor engagement, diagnose errors and improve the service.
• Detect duplicate-account abuse, fraud and misuse, protect the service and meet applicable legal obligations.

3. What other users can see

Your display name, club affiliation, points, rankings and game statistics may appear to other users in leaderboards and community features. Match-chat messages and reactions are visible to participants in the relevant chat. Your email address, date of birth and verified phone number are not intended for public display.

When you choose to share a rank, statistics or referral link, the selected content is passed to your chosen sharing destination. Posts and copies shared outside Fanddict are controlled by you, the recipients and that service; deleting your Fanddict account does not remove those external copies.

4. Service providers and other disclosures

Information is processed by services used to operate Fanddict, including:

• Lovable Cloud and its underlying infrastructure: account authentication, database hosting, file storage and application delivery.
• Twilio: phone-number verification and delivery of one-time verification messages.
• Apple or Google: authentication when you select their sign-in option.
• Lovable email, diagnostics and AI services: delivery of service emails, error reporting and AI-assisted support. AI requests may be processed by model providers such as OpenAI.

These services receive information relevant to their role, such as your phone number for verification or your message for an AI response. Their handling of information is also governed by their applicable privacy terms and service agreements. Authorised Fanddict staff can access information needed for support, administration and security.

We may disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to investigate misuse, protect people or defend legal rights. Sponsor engagement is recorded for performance reporting; clicking a sponsor link may take you to a separately operated website whose privacy policy applies there.

5. AI-assisted support

If you use the AI support assistant, your question and relevant conversation context are sent through our AI service to generate a response using Help Center material. Messages can also form part of a support conversation available to authorised support staff. AI answers may be inaccurate; you can use Contact support or email us instead of sending a question to the AI assistant.

Do not submit sensitive personal information to the assistant. For questions about a previous AI conversation, or to request its deletion, contact support@fanddict.com.

6. Cookies, browser storage and permissions

Fanddict uses cookies or browser storage for sign-in sessions, visitor identifiers, referral information, sign-in return destinations and continuity of support chats. Clearing site data can sign you out, reset the local visitor identifier and remove locally stored conversation references; it does not itself delete records already stored by the service.

Phone verification uses the number and code you enter; it does not require access to your SMS inbox or call history. Social sharing does not require access to your contacts. If you select a file for a feature that accepts uploads, only the selected file is submitted, not your entire photo library. The current web app does not request precise GPS location.

You can manage site storage and permissions in your browser or device settings. Some storage is necessary to remain signed in. For questions about usage measurement or to object to processing, contact us.

7. Retention of information

Account and gameplay records are kept to operate your account and maintain prediction and reward history. Support records are kept to handle enquiries and disputes; usage, diagnostic and security records support reporting, reliability and abuse prevention. Retention depends on the type of record and its purpose rather than a single period for every category.

Deleting the sign-in account does not necessarily erase every separate support, analytics, security or backup record immediately. Contact us to request deletion of associated personal information as well. Some information may need to be retained for legitimate security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution or legal reasons; you can ask which records remain and why. Copies held by external services or other users are subject to their own controls.

9. Your rights and choices

You can update available account details and club preferences in your profile. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access to your information, a copy of it, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or data portability, and object to certain uses. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it; this does not affect processing already lawfully carried out.

Send requests to support@fanddict.com. We may verify your identity and respond according to applicable law. You may also raise a concern with the data-protection authority in your jurisdiction.

Depending on the purpose and applicable law, processing may be necessary to provide the service you request, protect and improve the service, comply with legal duties, or rely on your consent where required. You can stop using social sign-in and manage Fanddict’s authorisation in your Apple or Google account settings; revoking that authorisation alone does not delete your Fanddict account.

10. Security and international processing

Fanddict uses HTTPS for connections to the service, account authentication and access controls for protected records and administrative tools. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your credentials and notify support if you suspect unauthorised access.

Our hosting, verification, email and AI providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Privacy laws may differ between countries. Applicable data-protection and international-transfer requirements apply to this processing; contact us for questions about the providers handling your information.

11. Children and younger users

Fanddict’s registration process requires users to be at least 13 years old. It is not intended for children under 13. Where local law requires a higher age or parental permission, those requirements also apply. If you believe a child under the applicable age has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and arrange appropriate removal.

12. Policy updates and contact

Updates to this policy will be posted on this page with a revised date. Please review it when deciding whether to use a feature or share information. Material changes may require additional notice or consent under applicable law.
